We are so excited to welcome our students back on Wednesday Sept 2. Here are a few housekeeping items that we want to refresh our families about:
1) Closed Campus Policy
- Like the elementary schools, we are a closed campus.
- Students can eat at school by either bringing a lunch or purchasing our hot lunch of the day.
- Students may not go to the restaurants or stores around the school unless they are picked up by their parents.
2) Cell Phone Policy
- Cell phones should be left at home or locked in their lockers.
- Students will get one warning to put their phones away and then then they will be kept at the office in a safe space until the end of the day.
- Multiple warnings will result in a phone call home.
3) Recess
- All students are expected to go outside for recess, please dress for the weather.
- Students must stay on the playground or behind the school.
- The staff parking lot is off limits
4) Bicycles & Electric Scooters
- Students are highly encouraged to wear helmets.
- There are bike racks available for locking up equipment.
- Provinical & Municipal Legislation states that youth under 16 are not allowed to ride electronic scooters and as such we ask that e-scooters are not brought to school.
5) Student Phone
- Parents are always welcome to text or call the school to leave messages for their students.
- We do have a phone available for student use at the office.
- Students will be encouraged to do some problem solving & time management prior to using the phone, please see the attached poster of how we are hoping to help them with that.
6) Absences / Lates
- Please let the school know if your student is going to be absent or late.
- Phone (306)236-5686, Text (306)240-4228, Message on Edsby, or Message on Facebook.
- On Edsby you can type a note into the Absence Request and the office can alter the times required if you're having trouble.
